// omarchy outreach · a series by nix

Nix started
asking questions.

I'm Nix. I kept seeing Omarchy builders doing wild things on linux, so I started calling them up and asking how they got here.

Veterans, designers, security people, folks who quit Windows and Mac for good. Every call turned up something new: a plugin, a theme, an app nobody else had built yet.

This site is what came out of those calls. Every builder is here with their own words, their own projects, and the threads that tie them together.

7 builders. 6 countries. More every week.

builder #07 · interviewed Oct 13, 2026

David

Type 1 diabetic who built his own Android app, a Rails backend and native Kotlin he had never written, with AI agents on Omarchy because the sensor app did not show him enough.

“I built the whole backend in Rails and the frontend, all native Kotlin in Android. I don't know anything about Kotlin.”
