Split the process from the window
Why Terminal Delight never loses a prompt.
credit: Parker Brown
Parker's way
- Run each agent session as a process that lives apart from the window that draws it.
- Let the window attach and detach. Closing it should not kill the process.
- Reattach and the scrollback and your half typed prompt are still there.
- Trash bin a thread on purpose when it is done. Hygiene matters.
- On Omarchy, use Super C to copy so Control C never wipes your prompt.
